841AR-340G – Aerosol Nickel Shielding Paint

The coating has a quick dry time, with no heat cure needed. The cured coating is smooth, hard, and durable. It adheres strongly to most plastics, such as ABS, PVC, nylon and polycarbonate. The acrylic polymer does not hold up to chemicals so use in a stable environment is ideal.

The nickel flake provides a good balance between cost and performance. The flake is flat, meaning it covers a large surface area at low thickness. This feature allows users to apply the coating thin which can mean added cost savings. The thin flake also improves the durability and scratch resistance of the coating.

Shielding paint enables designers to quickly metalize plastic parts such as ABS boxes which helps to lightweight parts. Compared to housing units made of aluminum, designers achieve EMC cheaply and effectively without adding unnecessary weight. The paint also conforms to the inside of the boxes, ensuring no gaps in the film for optimum EMI protection.

841AR shielding paint protects across the entire frequency spectrum. Applying this coating to the inside of the electronic housing unit solves EMC issues of most devices. The coating has good conductivity, suitable for creating grounded surfaces. The 841AR is great for repairing worn contacts or copper traces that corroded.

This spray is also available in liquid and pen format. We also offer a price-friendly carbon-based option, or a more conductive silver-coated copper version. Before applying this product, clean the surface with IPA to remove any grease or dirt. A clean surface ensures the coating applies even with no defects.
