1035 – Premium RTV Glue for Electronics

RTV 1035 is a one-part, neutral cure, clear RTV glue that cures to a durable silicone sealant. As the silicone cures, a neutral vapor releases making it an ideal sealant for sensitive electronic components. The cured silicone is soft, clear with a thick consistency making it easy to apply locally. The adhesive provides good hold and can seal around components to prevent moisture protection.

RTV 1035 is an electronics silicone since it does not release acetic acid during cure. Unlike some moisture cure silicones, RTV 1035 does not attack copper. Aside from releasing little odor during cure, RTV 1035 adheres well to many substrates including metal, plastics and glass. This electronics sealant achieves primerless adhesion and survives in many outdoor settings.

  • Electronics grade silicone – non-corrosive to most substrates
  • UL 94HB Recognition – File No. E36952
  • Primerless adhesion to many metals and plastics
  • Low odor cure
  • Good confined cure properties
  • One-component product – no mixing required
  • Retains elastomeric properties at temperature ranges of -60ºC (-75ºF) to 204ºC (400ºF) for long periods, and to 260ºC (500ºF) for short periods
  • Room temperature cure
  • Excellent electrical insulation properties
  • Excellent UV, chemical and weather resistance

This electronics adhesive is fast-curing, with a spreadable paste consistency. The glue is tack free within 15 minutes of applying, allowing for quick handling of parts. Most silicones cure in 24 hours, however, the RTV 1035 achieves full cure in just 12 hours. The cured adhesives works within a wide temperature range up to 200ºC (400ºF).

This silicone based adhesive is great for sealing and bonding electronic components onto printed circuit boards. The 1035 RTV silicone adhesive also protects copper connections on electronic parts. Silicone adhesives for electronics are ideal for a wide range of industrial applications since they are safe on metal.

RTV 1035 is an ideal material to help weatherproof power cords running into motors. It also works well as a gasket for leak-resistant sealing and insulating. It cures to a soft rubber which easily compresses under modest strain, making it an ideal gasket material. The paste conforms well to any cavity shape, ensuring the gaskets fits snug for a tight seal.

Like many room temperature vulcanizing silicones, RTV 1035 cures by condensation. As with all condensation cure silicone, thickness should not exceed 6mm (1/4 in). For sections more than 6mm, consider a one-part addition cure or two-part silicone with curing agent. Aside from bonding and sealing, RTV 1035 can apply thick enough for thin-section potting.

The RTV 1035 comes in a handy squeeze tube that makes the material easy to dispense. Users can attach a funnel over the tip of the tube to get a smaller bead size if needed. This tool will help seal around finer edges. The applied paste easily spreads over surfaces either by compression or using a trowel.
