ESD Compliance Products

Protect Sensitive Electronics from Electrostatic Damage

In electronics manufacturing and service environments, electrostatic discharge (ESD) can cause immediate or latent damage to sensitive components—leading to costly failures and reliability issues. MG Chemicals’ line of ESD compliance products is engineered to help facilities meet ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards, ensuring proper grounding, charge dissipation, and protection of personnel and equipment.

From static-dissipative coatings to conductive adhesives, our products provide reliable solutions for creating, maintaining, and repairing ESD-safe work environments.

  • Ensures ESD S20.20 Compliance: Helps organizations meet recognized ESD protection standards for safe handling of sensitive electronics.
  • Reduces Equipment Failure: Minimizes electrostatic buildup and discharge that can damage components or disrupt production.
  • Creates Continuous Grounding Paths: Carbon and graphite coatings maintain reliable conductivity over large areas.
  • Flexible Application: Suitable for workstations, floors, benches, and enclosures of all sizes.
  • Cost-Effective Protection: Offers long-lasting static control without the need for complex or expensive systems.
  • Strong and Durable Finish: Provides mechanical protection along with consistent electrical performance.
  • Simplifies Maintenance: Easy to recoat, repair, or bond conductive surfaces when needed.

Applications

  • Coating plastic, wood, and metal surfaces to create ESD-safe workstations and enclosures
  • Grounding work surfaces, floors, and benchtops in electronics manufacturing and assembly areas
  • Repairing or upgrading existing ESD control systems to maintain S20.20 compliance
  • Attaching ground point connectors and conductive hardware to ESD-safe surfaces and treated floors
  • Providing conductive pathways in test fixtures, racks, and housing assemblies

Ultimate Guide ESD Safe Coatings

ESD Surface Treatments

844AR – ESD-Safe Coating for Plastics
One-part, solvent-based, acrylic-based ESD-safe coating pigmented with low conductivity pigments. It adheres to many conventional plastic substrates and paint systems.

839 – Graphite Conductive Paint
Economical anti-static material cures to a smooth, durable finish and is resistant to abrasion, oxidation, and extreme thermal cycling – making it a great choice for outdoor treatments.

838AR – Carbon Conductive Paint – Excellent for grounding paint, electrical contact paint, or carbon shielding paint in low-frequency RFI shielding applications.

Electrically Conductive Adhesives

8330D – Silver Conductive Epoxy Adhesive
2-part epoxy conductive glue is smooth, non-sagging, and bonds well to a wide variety of substrates.

8330S – Electrically Conductive Adhesive
2-part heat-cured electrically conductive epoxy with a long working time. The electrical glue is smooth, non-sagging, and bonds well to a wide variety of substrates.

8331D – Silver Conductive Epoxy Adhesive
Economical 2-part epoxy conductive glue is smooth, non-sagging, and bonds well to a wide variety of substrates.

8331S – Silver Conductive Epoxy Adhesive
Economical 2-part heat-cured electrically conductive epoxy with a long working time. The electrical glue is smooth, non-sagging, and bonds well to a wide variety of substrates.

9410 – 1 Part Epoxy, Electrically Conductive Adhesive, High Tg
1-part, heat-cured system.  Once cured, it forms a hard, durable, and electrically conductive polymer over a wide temperature range. It bonds well to a wide variety of substances.
